Prone to Wander...

"Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business, and to work with your hands, just as we told you,
so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody."
1st Thessalonians 4:11

Israel, Day 4

Thursday, October 13, 2011

Next up, a bunch of other activities, including a visit to Yardenit, a water baptismal site on the Jordan River. Many of our crew decided to be baptized (I chickened out) :)
A stop at Korazim (woe unto you), and a visit to the temples and springs of Caesarea Philippi rounded out the day. As a rule, I don't really "dig" archeology (har), but the accompanying talks and information were a true wellspring of benefit to me. The pagan temples and shrines now seem a suitable backdrop for Jesus to use and proclaim: "on this rock I will build my church"...
Again, click on the photos below to go to the respective albums.
