Paddling...

The Canadian Tire Flyer is going to be the ruin of me...bought a canoe on sale a few weeks ago. We're just now getting around to making it wet. It's a 15 1/2 foot Pelican. The CanoeHead purists would snub their nose at such a beast. It does ride a bit high, and the seats are also high, especially the center one with its built-in cooler/lid. However, wisdom smells of knowing when to compromise, and on sale for $399 ($250 off the regular price) is pretty good. It's pretty much the same as this model. Good so far. Video below. Long Lake Provincial Park is only a few minutes from us. It's a bit of a strange place, declared a park in 1980 but thankfully, there has not been much of a rush to "develop" it. Sometimes I just look too far for stuff, and often it's right next-door :)

Solar "AA" Battery Charger

These things are a little silly, but they can get you out of a bind. Recharge your AA batteries at a maximum rate of around 16o milli-amps. These are normally around $30, but good old CrappyTireSpryfield is moving them out for $4.99 !! How many will I get ya ? :)

IVECO...

This beauty has been roaming around Central Newfoundland lately. I just grabbed some photos of it for fun...
